Balayage in Arlington, MA

Hand-painted balayage from colorists who have been placing brightness by hand in Arlington since 1991. Soft, sunlit dimension with no hard regrowth line — and a blowout included with every service.

Balayage is freehand painting, not foils. Your colorist sweeps lightener exactly where the sun would naturally catch your hair, building blended dimension that suits your face, your cut and your natural base. Because nothing is packeted right at the root, it grows out gracefully — which means fewer salon visits and color that still looks intentional three months later.

Why Jacqui’s

Painters, not just colorists.

Balayage lives and dies on placement. Painted too low it reads striped; too high and it goes flat by week three. Our colorists have hand-painted thousands of heads and know where brightness belongs for your length, your layers and the way you actually wear your hair — then tone it so the result stays soft instead of turning brassy.

The team trains on professional Wella and Redken systems and travels for continuing education from Boston to New York and Chicago. It is why clients drive in from across Greater Boston for their blonde, and why so many have sat in the same chair for years. Every balayage finishes with a blowout, so you see the color the way it will actually fall.

Balayage questions, answered

How much does balayage cost in Arlington?

Partial balayage starts at $115 and full balayage starts at $275, and both include a blowout. Adding a haircut brings partial to $140 and full to $300. Final pricing depends on your hair’s length, density and color history, which we confirm at a free consultation.

Yes. Every partial and full balayage includes a finishing blowout, so you leave with your color styled rather than damp — and you can see exactly how the painted pieces fall. A haircut can be added for $25 more.

Most balayage appointments run two to four hours depending on length, density and how much lift you want. Hand-painting, processing and toning simply cannot be rushed without compromising the result or the condition of your ends.

Balayage is painted freehand for soft, blended, natural-looking dimension. Highlights are woven into foils for brighter, more uniform lift. Many clients combine the two, and we’ll recommend the right mix at your consultation.
